Her father, Paul, is suspected of murder: he allegedly stabbed his former best friend, Arko Haumann, during an argument. Decades earlier, the two men had discovered the Bronze Age Nebra Sky Disc, one of the most significant archaeological finds of the 20th century. Detective Ritter is counting on Kim’s help to solve this strange case. He wants to know why that sensational discovery turned the treasure hunters into such bitter enemies. Convinced of her father’s innocence, Kim dismisses the idea the disc carries a deadly curse, a superstition feared by some in the small town. Although she initially intends to return to Hamburg as soon as possible, she begins to pursue the truth after finding a mysterious letter from her father and being reminded by her childhood friend Jonny of a secret from their youth. In doing so, she embarks on a journey into the darkness of buried memories.
